Booking & Availability
- Reservations are strongly recommended at least 12 hours in advance.
- Same-day rentals may be available, but are not guaranteed.
- Availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
Service Availability (Important)
Rentbike.ca operates as a flexible, independent rental service.
- Phone support, in-person assistance, and immediate responses are not guaranteed, particularly during business hours (9AM-5PM on business days)
- During these times, response delays may occur due to other commitments.
- For the smoothest experience, book at least 12 hours in advance.
Self-Serve Requirements
- Booking at least 12 hours in advance is required.
- Payment through Square pay links will be provided.
- Access details are only provided after payment is received.
Cancellations, Late Arrivals, Refunds
- Payments are fully refundable until bikes are taken.
- If you've already paid but cancel your booking, we will make a full refund.
- Rental time begins at the booked time, not arrival time.
- Late arrivals do not extend rental duration or qualify for refunds.
Returns, Extended Durations
- Bikes must be returned:
- On time
- To the designated location
- Properly locked
- Rental Duration Extensions may be requested, but
- are not guaranteed
- depend on bike availability
- require reasonable notice in advance
Bike Selection
- Specific bike models are not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed in advance and available.
- Otherwise, bikes are assigned based on:
- Availability
- Rider height/fit

Equipment Issues and Compensation
All bikes are regularly maintained, inspected and ready to go prior to riding. In the event of a mechanical issue:
Breakdowns (Major Issues)
If a bike becomes unrideable, we will offer:
- A partial or full refund, depending on how much of the rental was affected, or
- A replacement bike (if available).
Minor Issues or Inconveniences
- Gear slipping
- Brake noise
- Seat discomfort or minor adjustments needed
These do not automatically qualify for refunds, but we will make reasonable efforts to assist or provide solutions if available.
No refunds will be made for rider related issues (e.g., improper use, discomfort unrelated to bike function). Refund decisions are made case-by-case, based on the severity and impact of the issue.

How to Rent

Pickup Reservations: We'll meet you in person to size your bike, adjust your seat, and help you choose a trail. If we miss you, bikes and helmets will be left locked and ready for you.
Self-Serve Pickup: Book and pay in advance to gain access. Bikes will be left locked and ready for you. Pick up anytime during the day. We refund if you're not happy with the bikes before you take them.
Delivery: Let us know your address and preferred time and we'll deliver (and pick-up) up to 3 bikes.
